Fortnite x TMNT: Leaks reveal a possible TMNT collaboration

New Fortnite leaks suggest that the game would be a collaboration with the famous and beloved series, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT). Fortnite has a history of pulling off great collaborative events and bringing new skins and weapons to their battle royale, hence, the news of them having a collaboration with TMNT does not come as a surprise. The new rumored collaboration would see the game getting new payable skins of the playable characters from the beloved franchise. In this article, we will cover all available information available about the collaboration of Fortnite with TMNT.

Leakers suggest that a file codenamed "FungusNinja" could be the reference to the new collaboration

Many leakers in the past have dug in the depths of Fortnite to come up with pieces of evidence to back their claim of new events and collaboration in the form of leaks. This time around too, a couple of leakers namely Sam and iFireMonkey have come up with pieces of information to back their claim of a new collaborative event about to take place in the famous battle royale. They shared their views on their official Twitter handles, backing the claim of their leaks.

First, the codename is FungusNinja which simplifies to MutantNinja. While most codenames don't mean anything, they CAN. For example, PlotTwist ended up being Anakin.

Recently, Twitter user Sam recently revealed that there is a hidden file codenamed "FungusNinja" which would further simplify to MutantNinja, This could be the reference to the next collaboration event of Fortnite, however, the leaker also suggested that these filenames have proved out to be inaccurate in the past, hence it does not classify as conclusive evidence of the collaboration taking place.

The leakers also suggested that there was a sewer manhole in Slappy Shores making some random and strange noises in the game. This also fueled the suspicion of the collaboration happening between the two elite franchises. Another Fortnite leaker by the handle of iFireMonkey also backed the claim of Sam on Twitter, suggesting that there is an encrypted set left with the title FungusNinja and it is 7MB in size.

TMNT, on the other hand, has been very busy lately with collaboration of their own. They have collaborated with Fall Guys and the Street Fighter franchise recently. TMNT has been on a grind themselves, with many DLCs being released for the games. Most recently, TMNT: Shredder's Revenge got a DLC released to its name by the developers. Given how active the developers have been lately for the franchise, it won't be a surprise that the famous turtles might actually come to the battle royale.
