Book Pile Retail Decor

The most recent Aesop store is located in London's Marylebone and is defined by piles of books as a means to reference a bookshop and highlight a bespoke timber cabinet by Sebastian Cox. The in-house team created this idea for the store when it relocated from the London neighborhood to Marylebone High Street.
There are 'material references' that were taken into consideration by the British Library and it aimed to recreate the layout of traditional bookshops. To do so, it selected warm timbers and created piles of pale green books as decor. The L-shaped store has the aforementioned cabinetry by Cox throughout the space including the main shop and area for visitors to participate in skin consultations.
